In 2009, Valeska joined the psychology department at Catholic University of Chile as an assistant professor after obtaining her PhD at University of Cambridge. She has participated in several research projects related to the teaching and evaluation of literacy in deaf children, assessment of cognitive abilities of children with learning disabilities, and technological innovations in the classroom for children with and without learning disabilities. She is currently interested in the dimensions of school culture that promote and foster inclusion in Chilean mainstream schools.
