Casey McCarthy
Advocacy, Media, & Partnerships

A feminist at heart, Casey has spent the majority of her working life promoting human rights for all, with a special focus on refugees, women, and children. With a journalism degree and a Masters in Communication for Development, Casey has 15 years working with government, the United Nations, start-ups, and NGOs, providing communication, media, and advocacy advice. Casey spent three transformative years in Asia with the United Nations (in Bangladesh and Cambodia) where she wrote her master's thesis "Media Development in Transitional Democratic Cambodia".  Casey is excited to contribute to Footage Foundation, truly believing in the power of storytelling (being an avid blogger herself) and that every person can become an agent of change, when given opportunity and access to the right tools and education.
