Alyona is originally a Footage participant from Ukraine who then became an integral part of our programming within the region.

She graduated from the Institute of Journalism in 2018. Alyona previously worked on a morning show as a journalist.

In 2017 she participated in a Footage workshop (Girl-talk-Girl) in Kiev. Since 2022, Alyona has been working with Footage by helping Ukrainian women, elderly people and many families.

Alyona created a documentary style interview with Ukrainian women who have suffered from Russian aggression. In 2023 she also began working alongside our FemSMS initiative.
